Cool. I can go on a hike without hiking

we live in the north east . wife and i are avid hikers . usually out for 3-4 days . we carry 2 , 32 oz bottles of water ea . we carry hydration packets . plus ways to filter water . carry 1 knife ea . for protection we both carry a side arm with 2 mags . for rope we carry 100 ft of paracord ea . we dont carry seat cushions or head net . have bug wipes . dont carry hand crank radio , air horn . we only carry head lamp ea with a solar battery pack also to recharge gps , long range comms . we dont have a wire saw , junk . we have a folding saw . didnt see anything for cooking . we like the little stoves that uses fuel tabs / sticks of wood . some of our hike we go to lakes/ponds so have a small fishing kit . see what we can catch for dinner .1 change of clothes . poncho for rain gear . and of course shelter , fire kit , first aide kit . why all the self defense stuff . if you are that scared , better stay home
